The following description was taken from the Greenberg’s Guide to Marx Toys Vol2
Army Airplane: Circa 1951. 13-1/2” long, 18” wingspread. The Army Airplane is the last in the series of similarly shaped bombers, although Marx did make civilian planes with the same design (such as the China Clipper). Priced at 95 cents in 1951, it is possible that the plane was produced earlier. It has two motors, no guns and is lithographed in khaki. “6” appears on the side of the nose and a white star enclosed in a blue circle and red, white, and blue bars is on the side of the fuselage. A white “U.S. Army” and more stars and bars are also on the wings. Directly behind the wings is the gunner and in the rear, the bombardier. Above the bombardier is the Marx logo. In the 1950’s, Marx made civilian plane of this type which had some plastic parts.
