Ambulance

Ambulance: 1940, 

11" long x 4"tall x3-1/2" wide.

Made of pressed steel the Ambulance is white with red or pink lettering that says "AMBULANCE" on either side of the van. The wheels are wooden and stained black but have red tin hubcaps. The grill, headlight and bumper for the ambulance are embossed tin and is one piece. The rear bumper is made of pressed steel and is part of the bottom undercarriage. The Ambulance as a rear door that is hinged and opens. 

The van design of this vehicle was used a number of times with different stamping. There is a milk van as well as a delivery van, the delivery van may have been a private label only. There is also another version of the Ambulance done in khaki green that is considered military.
