The Knockout Champ toy was made in 1936. The square tin boxing ring is 7" X 7”. One of the unique features of this toy is that two boxing figures are made from celluloid. They are very fragile and are prone to cracking and breaking easily. The toy works by winding the mechanism and then pushing a plunger, this activate the mechanism that turns the figures back and forth, the boxers are also attached to a hinge that allows them to move forward and backward, which then gives movement to their arms to simulate the boxing action. After 15 to 30 seconds a bell rings and one of the two boxers leans back onto the ropes, leaving the winner upright.
