Marx 1940-1942 Studebaker (Aka COE) Auto Transport: 21” long. 

            This two-car transport is similar in shape to the 1938 Auto Transport. Selling for just 94 cents, the toy is described in the 1940 Sears Christmas catalog a: “New cab-over engine hauler”, with a four wheel trailer…. lower the ramps, let the car roll out from lower deck, then attach the 12” skid rail and let the streamlined cars roll down”.  The catalog emphasizes that the toy is made from “Colorful auto fender steel”. The trailer can be detached by lifting a hand lever. Included is the original box & instructions as well as a red coupe and a red bodied dump truck, two ramps.
