This Marx prototype is 12” long 4 ½” wide (with crank 6” wide) at the widest point & 6 ¼ high with the ammunition holder. This “Anti Aircraft” gun is made of heavy gauged tin and is constructed using the “Wrecker Derrick” often found in the early Marx Tractor sets. The Wrecker Derrick for this toy was laid down, the section where the ammunition goes previously was what attached the derrick to the tractors. The rear wheels are made as “duel tires” and are 2 ½ “ wide the front wheel is 1 ¼ wide. The handle fires the ammunition by turning it clockwise. The toy also has a tow loop on the front to attache it to a vehicle. This prototype has custom painting on the body sides as well as on the front and rear. The front has “ Army 75” painted in yellow and then the body of the toy has black and yellow rivets painted every ½” , the rear of the toy is painted a dirty orange color and the ammo carrier is painted green.
