Marx sold these vehicles individually and sets. In addition, small toy cars and trucks were sometimes used as parts of larger toys. For example, small buses and trucks were used in the military train, the auto transport, several garage, and numerous terminals. In 1937 a pull toy assortment was advertised which consisted of 12 vehicles and individual sold for $.10 each. They are described as “miniature heavy gauge vehicle toys, about 6 ½ inches long which are streamlined in every detail and finished in bright baked and enamel colors – shiny radiators and dummy headlights”. All of these vehicles have wooden wheels, tab construction and separate tin grills with bumpers and non-operating headlights. Many have embossing on the doors and hood vents. Marx made a cool truck, a tank truck, a van baggage truck, a steak truck, a van, a bus, an armored bank truck, a roadster, a dump truck, a wrecker, a racer, a firetruck, and an ambulance.
