Marx Army And Navy Mechanical Target: 1940. 17” wide X 15-1/4 “high X 4-1/2” deep.
The following description was taken from the Greenberg’s Guide to Marx Vol. #1
This lithographed tin game had both airplane and ship targets. When hit, some of the airplane’s targets spin, and others are knocked over. The six knock-over ship targets are on a cloth belt powered by a windup motor. Lettering reads “Army & Navy” on the target background. The toy came with a black target pistol and six darts.
The back of the game appears to have the same basic stamping (minus some slots) and punch outs as the base of the large Marx airports.
In my opinion this toy has some of the finest lithography that Marx has ever done.
