Army Truck with rear bench and canopy: circa 1939 type 6 truck: 10” long.
This olive drab painted truck has no operating headlights benches inside the truck bed and a canvas cloth canopy stretched over to wire supports. The lettering on each side of the truck bed reads army the truck has wooden wheels with retainer washers on the inside of each wheel or the axles are crimped.
According to the Greenberg’s guide to Marx toys volume to the characteristics of a type six truck are noted by the elongated front end the smaller windshield and windows as well as the center support in the front windshield also characteristic is the front grill with the headlights bent on top of the front fenders. As well as the V-shaped front bumper in addition it also has exposed rear wheels and hubcaps made of tin.
