This small Marx Army Design Tractor is believed to have only been produced for a short period of time , maybe just one season. There is at least one other version of this military tractor produced around 1932 but in the standard Marx Tractor size. An example is listed in a previous post. There is also a differently lithographed version of this tractor that can be identified in two different set variations.
The box for this ”Light Duty Climbing Tractor shows two different scenes. The first scene shows the suction cupped tractor pulling a vehicle out of a river while by standers look down from the bridge that the car fell off of. The second panel shows five children playing with different tractors, one is playing with the Marx Castle and Bridge set. This box was also used for other Marx Tractors.
